Foreign nationals entering Panama for student exchanges, cultural, educational, health, scientific, research missions, or internships, on a non-profit basis. They must have agreements entered into with the State or between embassies and companies, educational institutions, government entities, or non-governmental organizations recognized under Panamanian law.

Required Documents

Adult Applicant

  • Power of attorney authenticated by a notary and application, which must include the name and nationality of the applicant’s parents.
  • Three (3) passport-size photographs.
  • Copy of the passport, duly certified as a true copy.
  • Criminal record certificate from the country of origin.
  • Health certificate.
  • Sworn Statement of Personal Background form.
  • Visa application form.
  • Letter from the educational institution, government entity, or NGO in Panama certifying the activity to be carried out by the foreign national.
  • Certification from the entity granting the scholarship, if applicable.
  • Certification from the Ministry of Government for NGO registration, if applicable.
  • Confirmed airline reservation with travel itinerary.
  • Identification document or residence card from the country of domicile, if available.
  • Confirmed hotel reservation, if applicable.

Minors

La solicitud debe ser realizada por uno de los progenitores o por quien tenga la guarda y crianza debidamente acreditada. Se incluyen todos los requisitos anteriores.
